Posting and Replying Posting a message to a newsgroup is as straightforward as sending an e-mail. Open the newsgroup that you want to post to and click the New Message icon. This brings up the New Message dialog box, shown in Figure 9-11. If you have multiple news servers configured, the message defaults to the news server to which the group you are reading belongs. You should post to this news server because there is no guarantee that other news servers that you have configured carry the newsgroup that you want to post to. In the Newsgroups field, verify that the group that you want to post to is selected. It is possible to post a single message to multiple newsgroups by separating them with a semicolon, although this is usually discouraged because it can lead to unnecessary duplication of answers. It is also possible to use the Cc: field to send a copy of the message through e-mail. The Format menu allows you to choose between Rich Text (HTML) and Plain Text. Plain Text is traditionally used on Usenet because there is a significant number of people who always use text-based newsreaders that do not display HTML messages.

In this exercise, you create a new user account named User1. You then make this account a member of a new global security group named Telecommuters. 1. Computer accounts, and the secure relationships between computers and their domain are robust. In the rare circumstance that an account or secure channel breaks down, the symptoms of failure are generally obvious. The most common signs of computer account problems are: Messages at logon indicate that a domain controller cannot be contacted; that the com puter account may be missing; or that the trust (another way of saying the secure rela tionship ) between the computer and the domain has been lost. An example is shown in Figure 5-6.
